How do I request a payment from a client?

Requesting Payments

  • Log into Your WeSignature Account

    • Access your account by logging in with your username and password.
  • Navigate to the Dashboard

    • From the dashboard, drag and drop the files you want to send for signature.
  • Upload the Document

    • Click on “Get Started.” WeSignature supports formats such as PDF and Word.
    • After selecting your file, it will upload automatically. Confirm the document has uploaded correctly before proceeding.
  • Add Signers

    • Specify the recipients who need to sign the document. Enter their names and email addresses. You can add multiple signers and assign each signer a specific signing order if required.
    • Set Signing Order (Optional): Enable the signing order feature if you need the document signed in a particular sequence.
  • Enable Payment Collection

    • Select the payment option to request a payment as part of the signature process.
    • Enter Payment Amount and Details: Specify the amount the signer needs to pay. This integration allows the signer to complete the payment immediately upon signing.
    • Choose Payment Methods (Optional): Depending on the account setup, you may be able to specify accepted payment methods, such as credit card or ACH.
  • Customize Document Fields

    • Add fields to the document where signers need to take action, such as:
      • Signature: Signer’s signature field.
      • Date: The signature date.
      • Initials: Initial boxes, if needed.
      • Text Fields: Any other necessary information, like names or identification numbers.
  • Add a Message to the Signer (Optional)

    • Include a personal message or instructions for the signer. This can help clarify the purpose of the document and the payment requirement.
  • Review and Send

    • Double-check all details, including the document, fields, signers, and payment information.
    • Click “Send for Signature.” The signers will receive an email with a link to review, sign, and complete the payment.
  • Track Document and Payment Status

    • Use the WeSignature dashboard to monitor the document’s progress. You can see when each signer has viewed, signed, and completed the payment.
